The Chicago River and Montrose Harbor on Lake Michigan
Forrest Brandt

The Chicago River and Montrose Harbor on Lake Michigan is a one page zine comprised of Polaroids taken by Forrest Brandt documenting wildlife and infrastructure along the titular bodies of water. Brandt photographed these sites considering Chicago’s increasingly adversarial relationship with its waterways as the climate crisis continues. Sea walls are built and made taller as years go on. Erosion threatens natural ecosystems and human made constructions alike. Brandt’s original Polaroids are reproduced via riso printing on Neenah solar yellow paper in black ink to replicate the original yellow film stock.

Zine available in a signed edition of 50.
